I think he means called to the squad but not used on the pitch.

Doh! Misread the title and was probably completely out of date anyway.

Yes indeed, included in the England squad but has never actually played, is there any even?

Depends really, in competitive matches or do friendlies count?

Also, you mean on the subs bench but never actually capped?

Yeah just not capped in any situation, named in a squad but 0 playing minutes.

Did Dion Dublin get on the pitch - Think he may of made one cap.

                  Stevie Frogget?

I know Jimmy Bullard and Michael Dawson have been in squads without winning any caps. That's all I can think of off the top of my head!

Cahill was in the squad for a couple of friendlies but has never been capped.

                      Dawson would be another.

It'll probably turn out to be a second choice goal keeper in a period where England had a solid first choice.

Didn't Paul Warhurst for Sheffield Wednesday years ago get in the squad then break his leg. I always remember him from the 90's being moved from centre half to forward and absolutely filling his boots scoring 20 odd goals alongside Guy Whittingham.

Yeah he was filling in for the injured David Hirst and Bright, wonder move by Francis.
