I know of one of two but there not good! I generally get my football from the newspapers but I wondered if there are any good football websites people here frequent...

Used to go on 606 (from the beeb) which tended to have a wide variety of fans and was pretty good at moderating out trolls. Shame its closed now.

Only one I really use is http://www.the-rising-sun-news.com/news/index.php for my J League updates.

I find the Guardian football coverage to be probably the best for news. I then have other places I trawl every once in a while, such as Swiss Ramble, Tomkins Times and things like that.

No specific football only sites, I'm afraid. Never really found anything.

I don't think there are any general football news sites that have in-depth content that's worth reading. I subscribe to a few feeds on twitter to keep me up-to-date with the headlines, that's usually enough for me. I'll check in on footballi-talia.net for Serie A too, one specific Spurs forum, but nowt beyond that.

During the season I do listen to the Guardian podcast though as it's always worth listening to James Richardson.

I enjoy Football365.com for a slightly more irreverent take on football gossip, news and features. The mailbox is pretty amusing as well from time to time.

In Bed With Maradona is excellent for longer articles on subjects that are not generally covered in the mainstream football press. http://inbedwithmaradona.com/

i just type 'aston villa' into newsnow.com

It's not a news site but http://www.thesoccerstore.co.uk/ have a blog with quite good content so that's worth a read. They also sell some pretty good kit.
