    Hah

    Great link.

I scored about 270 on the SNES one but should have done better.

I think there is an error in the questions though-

    Question 3:
Contra 3 DID use Mode 7, for the top down levels????

It was DK Jr in MK on the SNES

And yes Contra 3 did use mode 7 for the overhead levels.

Just did it got 530/600. However one question I got "right" was actually wrong in the quiz (aside from Contra 3) and that's about when the SNES came out in Europe which wasn't 1993 as listed. I recall getting one on my brother's birthday in May 1992. Not going senile am I?

It was 1992. I remember it was the Spring of my first year of High School when I got mine which would have been '92

when you get a perfect 600, it asks you if your friends can beat it...

How the Hell can they beat a perfect score??

I just got 320/600 on the 8-bit one despite never having owned a NES, played a mario game or even dabbled in Nintendo software until the Gamecube O_O

If I had my way I'd change the title to 'NES quiz'.. there was a lot more to the 8-bit era than just that. Now for the 16 bit one (SNES no doubt)

                  edit - scored 230.

There's loads of errors in that quiz ! Apart from the Contra one another which was totally wrong was the designer of the US SNES (seems all US based) There was an interview over at Assembler withthe designer who was an American but all the names they offered were Japanese !.

                    Other questionable ones were:

There answer was SNES prototype when in fact it's a Bandai mobile SFC.

And then there's this Contra one

The game was commonly known as both Super Contra and Contra Spirits ! The actual cart says Contra Spirits however.

I got a final score of 420. I wouldn't say they know that much about the SNES/SFC at all. All common games featured as well.

                      What about Donkey Kong?

He's blatantly a playable character in Mario Kart isn't he, or am i going a bit Jackson?

                        290 on the Nes test
                        360 on the Snes test

Both pitiful scores, but good fun all the same

350 for the 8-bit despite never owning a NES.

CBA doing the 16-bit one because of the Nintendo of America bias.

                            I answered that above

It's DK Jr in Mario Kart in the SNES... go check your manual!

Or, just check the character itself. He wears a fetching nappy/jumpsuit thing in SMK.
