Browsing the PC Engine games in my local GEO, I come across Kyu something or other Tiger for 500 yen. As with so many Hu card games, there are no screen shots on the back, but it's obviously a helicopter game, so I get it, then dig out the LT and load it up,
and it turns out to be TWIN COBRA!
Wheelar and others will no doubt know that and be thinking so what, but I had no idea, and hadn't given any thought to this game since I spent a pot load on it in the arcades about 15 years ago!
It's as playable as ever. I wouldn't take only this game on a 12 hour flight, but for a short power session, it's great.
So anyway, that's why retro gamin is great. Coming across a game you used to love, very cheaply, totally unexpectedly and playing it on hardware the game was designed for (I've never been into emulation).
