Mega CD 1 supplied accessories q

Should there be some kind of lead from the headphone port of the MD into the back of the MCD unit? I've been told I should have one of these, but I don't. TBH I don't really know what it would even do. Was it supposed to have come in the box?

Also can you get away without the shielding plate?

yes there should be a a cable to go from the headphone socket to the back of mega cd, mine came without one toojust get a 3.5mm headphone jack lead with both male ends, available from maplins.
dunno about shielding plate because mine did come with one but I would presume it doesn't really matter.

From memory I think it's supposed to give you stereo sound.

Gotta be something like that cause Megadrive only outputs stereo from the headphone jack, not the rear din socket.

Its for the Mega CD to output the Mega Drive soundeffects when using the red and white stereo leads
