Secret Of Mana Question

Got a copy of this the other day.And i get this message?

"This game pak is not designed for your super famicom or super Nes"

I'm a PAL Version of a modded PAL SNES,shouldn't this work no problems?

Did Squaresoft have region protection on it's games,even back in the SNES era and i wouldn't of thought on SNES games did really?

It's odd, my mate sometimes gets that problem, however I've never had it on any modded system that I've owned or modded for anyone.

does your machine have the double mod? the region and 50/60HZ?

if so try puting it to UK and 50hz...

thats all i can think of.

Definitely sounds like a 50/60hz issue to me.

yeah I found that with a few later releases, flickin to 50hz booting the game up then switching back to 60hz works fine though if ur fussed about 60hz goodness.

My pal copy of secret of Mana does this if it?s booted up at 60hz , I just make sure it,s running at 50. Then wait till the title screen appears then flick the switch and bob?s your uncle.

I had the exact same problem with Mana. Just switch it to 50hz and then back to 60hz.
