I should have posted here earlier, I'm sure some of you chaps will join in.

A bunch of us on the EG forums are currently playing this every evening to outdo each other.

No rules as such, just set the fastest lap time on Desert that you can, and fastest 3 lap run in an unmodified car and I'll post the times for you:

It's not forum vs forum obviously, otherwise I'd have a tough time picking sides

Are there any differences between the PAL , US and JPN versions of the game as far as time keeping goes? I mean I have both Japanese versions (Sega Rally Championship & Sega Rally Championship PLUS) and I'm sure that the PLUS version is faster or at least I seem to play better on that or is it my imagination?

Back in the day I used to regularly get times in the 39seconds range (desert) on the European Saturn version, swear I could have played that course with my eyes closed and not crahsed once. Don't have it any more or I'd love to join in

Saw the post maybe an hour ago, reckon i have at least 3 tenths of a second extra on my best lap time if it's needed...

Dunno manual seems a bit pointless on the desert course as i never leave 4th gear, might be faster on the latter courses.
