Jap / US Sega ST-V - Difference?

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help please?

Does anyone know the difference between a USA and a Jap Sega ST-V board?

I need the jap one so that all buttons work on my Radiant Silvergun cart (the usa does not have a button for the sword).

I have never seen one so would appreciate details!

The difference is they have a different bios, this is just a chip that can be pulled out and replaced in seconds. You can buy a multibios from various places this will play all region games inc RSG with the correct amount of buttons, or have a board with a Jpn bios only.
I have a Japanese stv, I did have a USA one but sold it recently, but they look the same.
