    Import Virgin Needs Tv Help

Right, im looking for a new Tv which is NTSC 3.38 (?) compatable, the trouble is finding one within my price range (?150) is getting hard.

So i was wondering if i acctuslly need an NTSC compatable TV?

Is there a cable (xbox, ps2, and GC) which will do this for me?

Meaning that all i need is a TV which supports 60hz and has an RGB thing?

    Many Thanks in advance

    Matt

Pretty much every new TV supports NTSC now, though you might do well to take a look at our import and TV guides on the main page. Put simply, the ten year old 14" TV in my bedroom, which is close to collapse, can still play PAL-60 and NTSC signals too. And anyway, the best thing to do is just browse a website/shop and see for yourself.

      Right,

Ive narrowed down the tvs that im looking at to these two.

Will these Tvs play my US GC, import PS2 + xbox games in full colour?

If i get the respective cables (modded gc cable, advanced scart pack etc)?

      Phillips

      or

      Grundug

      Thanks

      Matt

Page 13 of the manual for the Philips set (http://www.p4c.philips.com/mprdata/0...070031_dfu.pdf) says:
The inputs EXT1 and EXT2 are used to read NTSC coded recordings.
As for the Grundig, I can't find any info on NTSC compatibility. Sorry.

Yes, that Philips TV works with NTSC.
As for the Grundig one, it might, but keep in mind brands like that have a smaller chance. Just take something to the store with you to test it, they should let you.

i had a grundig and it wouldnt do ntsc, this was a new 32inch model, so i would be careful with that choice, if i remember rightly when i contacted them they said only there 100hz models were ntsc compatable

I am tempted to get a little 14" TV for upstairs so that when some of my consoles aren't plugged in they can be in the top floor of my bedroom. I was looking at this http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/produc...affiliateid=76

I can't find any faults. Can you?

Checking the manual again brings up this on page 11:
The EXT1 socket has audio, CVBS/RGB inputs and audio, CVBS outputs. The EXT2
socket (if available) has audio, CVBS/S-VHS inputs and audio, CVBS outputs.

                        2008 it is a monster.

It has two floors ina sort of tiered efferct. It has a very high roof and half of the roof is taken up with another floor.
