Looking at the HD-EP30 thread on AV Forums it does come bundled with a cable.

Sweet. Ordered this now. The 360 HDDVD Drive is far too noisy and even if HDDVD is the most dead format ever, it'll still be a great upscaling DVD player (hopefully).

Upscaling seems decent from what I read. But like with your PAL 360 HD-DVD player, this would only be useful if you mainly have Region 2 DVDs. Been trying to find out whether there's simple Region Free hack, but no joy. I mainly have Region 3 Korean and Region 1 discs

Glad I held out for this. Maybe cheap HD-DVD discs won't be too far behind.

My EP30 arrived this morning - its great, amazing bargain. So much quieter than the 360 add-on. Just got to order my 5 disks now.....

If you actually want the 7 disks this basically means the player is free. So even if HDDVD does completely die (and that is by no means certain) - its still going to be a great upscaling player.

I read on highdefdigest that apparently a SKU has been released (without the free films) for under £100 pounds. Can't find the link now, but it's been no way confirmed, but would be very good if it was!
