        Dead in what way? Is it the fuse that has gone? Reason I ask is because one of the chip legs has broken off on my modded SNES and now it's stuck in 60hz so no more SMK

          That's exactly what happened to mine. I soldered the wire to the stump - very weak, but but lasted long enough for me to glue it into place. Fiddly stuff, but quite possible.
