    New Super Famicom games

I've been buying and collecting SFC stuff for some time now and i've come to realise that i have never once seen a sealed copy of a Japanese game? Were any SFC games ever sealed as with US/UK games?

I've managed to find alot of games that are in so called 'brand new' condition but never with the plastic seal you get on new games over here.

SFC games do come factory sealed and there are many of them still around.

Really? I was under the impression SFC games were never sealed. Retailers put them inside clear plastic packaging but they never left the factory like that.

Yeah they don't come factory sealed. Same with Famicom, N64 and Gameboy games.

I don't think the consoles did either.

Even new GBA games didn't come sealed, but GC games did.

are you sure about that as i have a couple of GBA games here that are sealed with the old Nintendo logo around them, the same as the Gamecube games

100% that SFC games do not come factory sealed.

I guess I was wrong, I had thought that SFC games came sealed as I bought a new Yoshi's Island that had what looked like a factory seal around it.

GBA games however do come with seals as I've bought a few on the highstreet that game wrapped in proper factory cellophane.

i thought as much, i wonder why they never sealed the games in Japan? i doubt it was a cost issue as they did it everywhere else

They did it because it drives anal collectors insane
