Montezuma's Revenge was and is ace. Crap graphics (even for the time), but completely fab gameplay.

I played Montezuma's Revenge on the C64 around 1990. It was an excellent game - and probably the best 8-bit platformer I've ever played.

Played Montezuma's Revenge on the Atari 800XL..... got down to a huge indian stomping his feet around, but the temple seemed to end just a couple of screens further. Not sure if it was intentional or bugged, but I couldn't see anyway of killing him / finishing the game.

I remember the Montezuma's Revenge remake on PC...it was 3D and first person, iirc. It wasn't too great.
