    Similar games to Rod-Land

Aside from Parasol Star can you think of any other cutsey platformers that came out after Rod-Land and featured similar play mechanics...

Quite possibly my favourite genre of games!

    Don Doko Don
    Wani Wani World
    Snow Bros
    Nightmare In The Dark

Not as similar but I have to recommend it!
It follows the one screen look and combines Platform/cutesy with puzzles, Solomons Key 2 (aka Fire n Ice)

Im sure ill think of more, ill be back!

Snow Bros. perhaps. Not sure if it predates Rodland or not though.

If you enjoyed Rod-Land, you're sure to love Snatch-World

Does Liquid Kids count? I know it scrolls but the gameplay mechanics are similar to the other Taito games.

I was thinking about the same thing last week whilst playing Snow Bros. I can't think of any others than what have been listed so far. I'd like to discover some forgotten gems of the genre.

There must be more - because this type of game was popular for a while.
