Its a new transfer of an old master with the print damage removed, and DNR added the Optimum BRD was better

You're never really going to get a pin sharp Terminator 2 due to Cameron's inability to shut up about how fantastic Super 35 stock.

It doesn't help that the people producing the discs seem to take such pleasure in sucking the the remaining film grain out of it for some reason.

All BD versions of this film have been pretty disappointing with only the Japanese Geneon Entertainment edition standing out in comparison.
