Aside from TMZ, I've seen tentative announcements on the BBC, CNN and Reuters that he's dead. Generally it wouldn't go that far if there wasn't some credibility to the story.

Yeah, just rumours ATM. Hope it's not true. Not a big Jacko fan, but it would be awful for him to die at such a young age. (Just like anyone else).
