    Carling Cup Thread

May as well start a thread for this.
Lots of games tonight. I would love a good cup run, we have really bad record in both cups the past few years so here's hoping we can brush aside Rochdale.

Cant be arsed to go but Cobblers for us. I predict 2-0 Saints victory.

Forest have got Bradford tomorrow, and given that County just stuffed them in the league we'll have to win or we'll never hear the end of it.

The Wednesday take an early lead, long range shot from Esajas, three goals this season so far, and all from wingers.

Edit - make that 2-0! Jermaine Johnson, he is a winger but is playing upfront tonight

Tommy Gunn is clearly the greatest manager in the proud history of the Mighty Yellow. Grant Holt is the new Robert Rosario.

Grant Holt used to play for the Wednesday.

Lambert is a great signing for the Saints. I often sign him when I am in the lower leagues playing Football Manager.

The draw for the next round is 10pm tonight, I hoping for a london club away so I can get there easily.

Tommy Gunn = Darth Vader revealed.
Holt = Rosario - pffffft - Wayne Biggins more like.

TBH I was just happy we showed a little backbone after Saturday's debacle. I don't want a cup run though (and 1 win for City is a cup run!) - I want league points.

Too late. Tommy is like Malcolm Crosby - a cup manager.

The perfect opportunity for Norwich to ram **** down my throat after the recent shenanigans.

... did not happen. Beautiful football in those 2nd and 3rd goals, and Fatboy Slim Reid showing he has bags of ability.

Not just minor scuffles either, the police have said there have been hundreds involved in the violence outside the ground. The game was held up after the hammers equalised too, fans coming onto the pitch.

Edit: West Ham score a penalty in extra time... another pitch invasion (apparently the Hammers according to Phil Thompson on SSN) and both teams had to leave the pitch. Sad stuff.

Every person they can identify on the pitch should get a ban. No excuse for this kind of thing in today's game.

I remember earlier this year Milwall fans defending their supporters saying this only gets such a huge focus because of their reputation. This clearly isn't the media making a mountain out of a molehill. Every other club that were notorious have pretty mcuh cleaned up their act (save for the occasional incident overseas). What's going to happen if Millwall ever get back to the premier league?

Yes West Ham fans were involved too but it seems like it was Millwall fans stirring things up.
