    Word is that the fourth Cloverfield film has already wrapped filming and may be out by late October.

    The film is set to follow several D-Day Paratroopers as they drop into a Nazi held village where it turns out something mysterious is afoot.

    Paramount Pictures is reportedly still planning to release the WW2-set and currently titled “Overlord,” the fourth film in the “Cloverfield” franchise, later this year reports The Wrap.     The fourth Cloverfield film has finished filming and early test screens are coming in much more positive than the just released Paradox entry.

    With that in mind Paramount seem set to not repeat the Netflix deal and the new film will see a theatrical release.

      Abrams has now confirmed that the WW2 era movie Overlord is not a Cloverfield entry. He says a fourth movie is in the works but nothing is set for reveal as yet

          Whilst Overlord ended up being confirmed to not be a Cloverfield movie it emerges that Cloverfield 4 is moving ahead:

          Joe Barton, showrunner on the upcoming series Gotham PD, has been hired to write the sequel that is intended to be a more direct sequel to the original film though this one won't be delivered using the found footage format.
