      And again:

The film version of the popular video game series “Uncharted” has had a rocky voyage through development, and today it appears to have crashed onto the rocks yet again. Heroic Hollywood and io9 report that Seth Gordon, the latest filmmaker who has been attached to the Sony Pictures project for some time, is no longer […]

The director has quit the project and the film is set to be reworked in a new direction.
With the games being so popular and cinematic in nature, how is this this hard?

Sony Pictures has pushed back the release date of its long-in-development Uncharted movie until 30th June 2017 thanks, …

Delayed to 2017 but apparently still coming. God knows why they're struggling

Naughty dog should of just done a cg film themselves. would be better than whatever bloated, over budget and over paid star Hollywood comes up with. Unless it's got Nathan Fillion as drake.

In the past decade or so, Naughty Dog has emerged as arguably the most beloved video game company of them all thanks to their stellar track record to date with four great “Uncharted” games and the singular masterpiece “The Last of Us” which will soon get a sequel. Both game franchises also have film adaptations […]

ND's stance on the movie is that the young Nate approach allows for an in-canon storyline that meets bringing the series to the big screen yet avoids re-rinsing the games story that they feel has already been told via the games. Somewhat missing the point of cinema audiences there but still.

The same applies to The Last of Us which they hope would share the universe but otherwise have no relation to the games

Over the years there’s been talk of film adaptations of the “Uncharted” video game franchise, and at the top of many people’s casting list is former “Castle” and “Firefly” star Nathan Fillion. These days Fillion, now 47, is seen as arguably too old for the role of adventurer Nathan Drake. Indeed at last report the […]

Nathan Fillion has kicked off the rumour mill again by teasing an announcement for the 16th.
Many are speculating that he's going to be cast as Sully. Given the supposed in-canon nature of the film, I'd prefer it if he was cast as a post-UC4 Drake with Hollands young Nate being the flashback elements in a similar way to how UC3 and 4 merged past with present storytelling. It'd be a nice counterweight too, not sure I have much time for a full length Holland led Uncharted film

I really enjoyed this short movie, thanks for the heads up, it had so many nods (no pun intended) to the game and nice bit of fan service too.

Like Deadpool, this may be what is needed to push Hollywood into making this happen.

                          Saw this yesterday, looks cool.

The direction feels like the video game which has made it - just the perfect way to go.

On the other hand - trousers are way too 'mustard' 😄

                          But still loved it.

In a welcome bit of hiring, “10 Cloverfield Lane” helmer Dan Trachtenberg has been hired to direct the film adaptation of the Playstation video game franchise “Uncharted” for Sony Pictures. “Spider-Man” actor Tom Holland plays the famed treasure hunter on his first mission with the professional rogue Sullivan. Trachtenberg replaces Shawn Levy, who had to […]

Dan Trachtenberg, the director of 10 Cloverfield Lane, is the latest director to take on the film project which will still star Tom Holland. The film will reportedly start filming later this year and will essentially adapt the opening of Uncharted 3 into a full film with Holland playing a young Drake and showing how he met Sully (even though that means ND's previous chatter suggesting the film fit within the games canon can't hold up)

Either way, wrong approach with this. I get chasing that Spider-Man money but proper Drake or don't bother

A new rumor this weekend indicates Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pine, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are on the short list to play Sully, partner and mentor to treasure hunter Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), in the upcoming “Uncharted” film at Sony Pictures. That Hashtag Show, who broke Holland’s casting news last year, reported the rumor saying […]

Four names are up for Sully:

                              -Chris Hemsworth
                              -Chris Pine
                              -Matthew McConaughey
                              -Woody Harrelson

Pretty much confirming Sony has given up altogether trying to make this resemble the games at all.

Sony Pictures has dated “Uncharted,” the film adaptation of the popular PlayStation video game series, for a release on December 18th 2020. The date news comes after the project has spent many years in development, going through various different incarnations with numerous actors and directors coming and going. “Spider-Man” star Tom Holland will lead the […]
