Interestingly Microsoft has just confirmed that worldwide sales of the Xbox 360 now stand around 57 million units meaning the gap between the system and the PS3 is less than previously reported and now only 1 million. It's possible the market position swap will take place before Easter.

Skylanders might go a little higher this month, but it's likely to creep higher in December. It's going to sell well all the way into Christmas, whereas the bigger 'core' releases will tail off through December.
I think there's a decent chance of it getting Christmas number 1 actually, if they time a nice marketing shove at the right moment.

Early hopes for a 3DS revival near Xmas seem to be holding true as all systems held steady apart from the previously troubled handheld which after the release of Mario 3D Land saw sales leap upwards.

3.PS3 - 26,966
Monster Hunter and Mario Kart 7 are still to hit so they should be able to maintain the momentum.
