    Halloween II

Platinum Dunes is in talks to take the producing reins on Dimension Films’ forthcoming “Halloween” film reports Bloody Disgusting. Originally slated for this October, the then 3D project was pulled from the calendar as no confirmed cast or director is yet in place. Dunes is now out to writers and directors for the film, replacing […]

Micheal Myers Simply Will Not Die!

Platinum Dunes are looking for a writer and director for another reboot of Halloween which follows the recent stumble of the Rob Zombie two films reboot. This however will be another fresh slate reboot representing the third version of the long running popular horror franchise.

I thought the Halloween remake was rubbish seemed to be pissing into the face of everything I love about the original film. Rob Zombie is a horrible director. I'd actually welcome another remake just so I can forget the last one.

NO NO NO. No more ****ing remakes. This angers me greatly. The first Rob Zombie film was a horrid excuse for a "Reboot" and although the second film was a bit better it was still surplus to requirements.

The start of the Halloween II remake in the hospital was pretty awesome from what I can remember. Nice and brutal.
I dunno if I'm happy about this news or not as it will be good to see some horror again that isn't torture/mutilation ****.

Yeah I agree, Torture porn is a waste of film.

I think the last good fun slasher film that was released was probably Hatchet. Don't know how old that is, about 5 years?

Apparently Michael Bay is being touted to produced...

Not sure how that's going to work...I don't seem to remember there being much to blow up in any of the original movies.

He produced the recent Texas Chainsaw massacre remake as well as the prequel, and a bunch of other horror films as he has his own horror production company. Hes only producing, not directing, I doubt it will be full of things blowing up.

Meh, the Friday 13th remake was typical slasher fun. Plenty of bodycount as they sort of put the 2 films together and it had the silly gorey moments that are expected.
Tbh I think the original series peaked with the guy in the wheelchair going backwards down some stairs with a machete in his head. Ahhh memories.

With Dimension Films having lost the “Halloween” franchise rights, where does the pale faced Michael Myers go next? To television it seems. Fangoria has posted a new rumor which suggests a potential “Halloween” limited event series is in early development as producer Malek Akkad and new rights holders Trancas International Pictures try to work out […]

Having stalled for so long it now turns out this may be retooled into a limited run TV series
