    Caladrius [X360 Shmup]

Anybody hear about this? I just noticed this on nin-nin-game.com.

Others hear about this or Moss as a Shmup developer?

This is from the peeps behind Raiden. Got a copy on order from VGI. I believe it's out the end of the month.
They hired some well known artist for it which seems to be paying off in terms of coverage on certain sites like Siliconera.

        VGI is Video Game Imports.

Just about the best UK based import game shop in existence

I'm going to be picking this up but after spending nearly ?290 on the Cave collection this & SDJ are going to have wait a little bit unfortunately.

        But it does look lush.

I think it looks a bit tired. I'm bored of all these generic characters in shmups and girls with daftly high pitched voices. It might play well, but where's the differentiator?

I've had my order in for a while but haven't watched any trailers (until now) and for some reason I thought it was going to be a hori. Still looks like it could be fun, although I hope it doesn't borrow too much from Raiden IV - that irritated me greatly with its constant stream of lightning-fast enemies racing down the sides to then point-blank you.

It does look very much like 'Moss does Death Smiles', but style aside a shooter will always be about bullet patterns, scoring systems etc. They will be what makes it or breaks it.

              Region-locked I'm guessing?

Agreed -what is it about the japanese and young squeaky schoolgirls? About time we had a serious military style shump, more under defeat style

Yup, already confirmed by the devs.

I'll start a new thread so as not to derail this one.
Friendly Import video game discussion forum, informative reviews, NTSC (Japan / US) and PAL - BordersDown (previously known as NTSC-uk)

I am close to pressing the order button with VGI but would like to know what it's like first
