Nice. I had a mate that had one BITD and he insisted it was the MGT Coupe and SAM was the robot mascot. It’s written on the case of the computer!

I've had a bit of trouble getting the right drive belt, but the last one fitted is holding up well. I also need to board the board to remove the ghosting when using RGB.

Also got my hands on one of these, which I've replaced the 3" drive on.

CPC6128 with a Gotek style floppy emulator? Very nice. I’ve been looking a 6128 plus models this year but damn they are pricey.

It’s like a gotek but with specific fittings for a speccy +3 or 6128. Yeah everything is crazy prices now, this was a trade too

Everyone on my street had one apart from me, so I grew up knowing all the games. I thought it would be nice to revisit some old memories Alan Sugar is a still a kunt though.

I had a 464 but always wished it were a 6128. Being able to play all the game off a USB stick is cool.

The homebrew scene for the CPC has some mighty impressive stuff these days.

R-Type remake is stunning here’s a video comparing it to the original commercial release - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHjkzMOcLNQ

You can tell the original was a speccy port

This one uses flashfloppy firmware rather than the more complicated original gotek firmware. You put the diskimages on a stick and turn the dial left or right (like an old wireless) and it shows the disk on the little screen, that’s it! I’m tempted to get another for my speccy plus 3.

A few modern Amstrad games that are also worth playing.
