Connections in Speedtest are shown in bit/s, not byte/s.

              Sky
              ?9 a month
no traffic management or data restrictions.

I was with O2 and now I am with Sky after they bought O2's broadband. Since moving to Sky my upload has dropped from 1 meg.

I'll be moving to Fibre when we move soon. I should be 100m from the fibre cabinet.

Will only be like this for the next few weeks then switching to Virgin... haven't had the greatest experience with virgin but lets see how it goes.

                    Very average ping too.

                      It's all about the ping.

That's on wifi. Only the consoles and the NAS get the luxury of ethernet.

Connected via wireless N. It's the Virgin 120mb service so not losing very much speed at all compared to connecting via ethernet.

We're getting a boost up to 152mb in the summer, so I'm not sure if our wireless will be able to keep up at that point.

                          Bofiber AS (Norway)

If I use a wired cable I get a better result, but this is over wifi.

Latency with this ISP seems strangely good, I getter better pings across to the UK and USA than I do from a corporate net connection. Don't ask me why, it shouldn't be like that...

                            And at home:

My home connection has a 250GB/month cap.

You get nice upload speeds on the virgin 120. The 60 seems capped down at 3mb.

They are apparently doubling 60mb uploads this year.
