Though some consider it the best of the rebooted trilogy, certainly it’s the one most akin to the original 1960s series, the Justin Lin-directed “Star Trek Beyond” sadly proved a bit of a dud at the box-office. After Abrams’ first film in 2009 managed just over $360 million worldwide, the less well-regarded “Star Trek Into […]

Yeah, he's probably not wrong. I really enjoyed it and it stood up to a rewatch. It was head and shoulders above Into Darkness for me. Although... the one thing Pegg said about it looking like a "boneheaded action film" in the marketing... that's kind of what this trilogy of films have been. None of them are particularly thoughtful.

Whether Quentin Tarantino gets involved or not, either way Paramount Pictures has contingencies in place regarding the next chapter in the “Star Trek” film franchise. Right now the future of the films are uncertain. The current cast contracts reportedly ended with the underperforming “Star Trek Beyond” in 2016, though several have expressed a desire to […]

Apparently there are three rival scripts being worked on as Paramount covers its bases.

Though personally, I'm not sure why any effort would be put into closing Timeline-B or what would be gained by doing so.

British director S.J. Clarkson has reportedly entered talks to helm the next installment in the “Star Trek” film series reports THR. Should the deal go through she would be the first woman to helm a film in the ‘Trek’ franchise. Earlier this week Paramount Pictures said two new “Star Trek” films were in development at […]

British director S.J Clarkson is reportedly going to direct ST14, this would make her the first woman to helm a Trek movie. Increasingly it appears that the next entry will be another continuation of the current movie line and also not the film that Tarantino is involved in.
