    Pioneer PDP-V402e

    I have a Pioneer PDP-V402e

    The bezel has some marks and scratches and there is one scratch to the right on the screen.. It doesn't affect the plasma screen underneath just the protective layer, its noticeable when powered off but I don't really notice it when playing.. can provide pics on request.

    Nice bright picture, about 5000 hours if I remember correctly, so plenty of life left in it.. Beautiful picture with retro consoles, I had been using it with my SFC and MD.. Lots of info out there about this screen and what the benefits are..

    will include a wall mount that I have for it as there is no stand..

    ?100 collected from Uxbridge in west London

      I had one of these plasmas, they are awesome. I shattered the screen while moving stuff around

      I still have the remote if you need one, it's pretty basic though (5 buttons I think!)

          This is still available, unfortunately postage is not really viable unless you can arrange a specialist courier of some type..

            Out of interest what inputs does it have? Normal BNC and VGA? Will the DC work connected to it via VGA? If so that must be one of the best screens available for it, at it's native 640x480 resolution too. Ever in Nottingham or Liverpool?

                  It has BNC rgb connection and straight VGA, a Dreamcast will hook up straight to it via VGA and looks perfect.. Unfortunately I don't travel much so it's unlikely I'll be up your way anytime soon unfortunately..

                      Think most folk were made aware of the sets by, and still refer back to this post as the de facto sell sheet on them. To quote;

                      Since the Pioneer is an early plasma generation, image retention is quite obvious. If you play a 2D shoot'em up, the score display will show a slight afterglow for several minutes after you've quit the game. This has nothing to do with burn-in though and with a display properly "broken in" burn-in is nothing you have to worry it. I had an in-game pause screen showing for about 3 hours recently and the image retention from it was completely gone about 2 minutes into my next game session.
                      In other news, I can now tell you they're bloody heavy.

                        That post came along at just the right time for me, as I'd been researching EDTV resolutions and was looking into getting a 15" 640x480 set. Wasn't expecting another 25" on top of that..!
