The One Chip RGB is as good as the Mega Drive.

Colin's photo posts in this thread are excellent retro porn! Love the 3DO gear, very envious. **** just got R.E.A.L.

What do you need to look for to get a 1chip Super Famicom, would like to get one to see what the fuss is about. I think my SuFami has already got a great picture.

            Very enigmatic Speedy!

Here's the last retro thing I bought, a long time since bought anything retro actually. A lovely Japanese Model 1 Saturn courtesy of the man above, our own Speedlols.

            He's comprehensively modded it:

            - UK PSU
            - 50/60Hz switchless mod
            - Region free BIOS
            - Phantom Universal modchip

And he threw in an official RGB cable, a Japanese official backup memory unit and very nice condition copies of Sega Rally and Daytona as you can see.

He he originally supplied it last week with a western style Model 1 pad, but I've since supplemented it with the matching Japanese pad from EBay. The black UK pad is now player 2!

I'm delighted with it. Thanks Speedy

Not really new, the buttons and sticks are though. I've had a go with reversing the yellowing on the Super Neo 29 Type II and i'm really happy with the results. Taken the whole thing apart and given it a good clean as well.

              It's gone from this

I'll take some pics showing image quality difference and post them over the weekend.

                      Which materials did you use?

Top work Jamie. Did you retrobrite or go with vinyl dye like I did?

For the yellowing i used this:

Took the cab to bits, brushed this to the yellowed bit's, wrapped it in cling film to stop it drying out and put it out in the sun. Did this about 3 times. For the clean i just used soap and water.

Colin - with Vinyl Dye, how does it affect printing on the plastic (like the red logo on a PCE)?

                            Great work Jamie!

It would cover the logo as well Pete, the stuff I used recently was terrible compared to when I did the cab too, nowhere near the quality finish.

Jamie, I used similar stuff on a white engine but couldn't get great results, but I may not have been getting enough sun up here in Scotland!
