Best in-game horse, too. The way it would naturally follow pathways and avoid cliff edges like a real horse was pretty awesome.

The sweet spot you hit when you stick with any RPG for long enough. With Tales of Zestiria it took until I got more members in my team and to the first Trial Shrine in the game. With Bloodborne it was probably within the first 1-2 hours.

The good thing is, any RPG worth its salt has that phase and it's great when you hit it as in my case it brings a huge smile to my face.

                    General joys:

                    Skippable cut-scenes
                    In-engine cut-scenes
Games that plonk me at the title screen quickly

                    Specific joys:

                    Wii Sports Tennis
Wii Sports Resort and using Motion Plus for the first time
                    Sega blue skies

A real favourite: practising and perfecting a combo in a given fighter (though Third Strike is very satisfying) and then landing it in a match. I always found it even more satisfying to practise parrying a super and then pulling it off for real. There's not much else in gaming that tops that for me.

Another total joy is beating someone at right at the very last, especially if they've been cocky.

I have two major additions for fighters:

                        1) Those matches where you have a reasonable round one, get beaten in round 2, then come back in round 3 with UTTER DESTRUCTION. Also known as the-"NOW BEAR WITNESS TO MY TRUE FORM"-play.

                        2) Those matches where you both play really well, never giving an inch, it's really, really close - then you just notice the other person's nerves shatter and they go to pieces, and you pick them apart. Tends to happen more in live play than online.
