I have high hopes for that too, but I think it's going to have one problem - it's an 80s throwback movie, when the suggestion seems to be that the 80s throwback craze is already waning. Captain Marvel is set in the ninetaaaays and will probably ride that wave which is currently building to a surge.

After months with little to no apparent progress, Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” may finally be moving forward again with Batman-on-Film reporting that the studio has begun hiring production staff to work on the project. This suggests pre-production should get underway soon on the Warner Bros. Pictures and DC title, and would suggest a shoot to […]

The Batman looks to be finally gearing up for filming in early 2019. Rumour is that the film focuses on a young Batman thereby meaning that the studio is placing it in the so-far-unexplored decades before Batman v Superman. This means that the studio can also choose if its part of the DCU or not later on as it won't directly link in to the existing canon of the older Bruce.

Margot Robbie has confirmed that Birds of Prey will begin filming in January. Word seems to be that because the film is moving forward Gotham City Sirens and the Harley & Joker movies are now cancelled. Robbie also confirms that the film will be much lower in budget than other DCU entries and will also be R-Rated. It was also confirmed over the weekend that Batgirl won't feature though Barbara Gordon will which has stoked fires of Harley, Huntress and Oracle together.

I am put off by his goofy face reminding me of Data from Star Trek but otherwise it's a nice image.

There's some very poor quality potato footage out showing brief snippets from the trailer in another language. From the brief bits gleamed from it the suggestion is that Shazam looks so fake because he's created based on the kids impression of what a superhero should look like. There's shots of him wandering through a toy store with big statues of Shazam who is stood alongside statues of the Justice League suggesting Shazam is originally like a toy company knock off to cash in on the superhero hysteria that the kid adopts when he gets his powers - hence the plastic looking hair, muscle definition. Appropriately there's a glimpse of Shazam poorly dancing on a floor piano like Hanks in Big.

From that brief snippet it looks quite decent and much more MCU-like than DCU

A new report has sprung up talking about the fan-favourite DC Comics characters that look to be a part of the line-up alongside Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn in the upcoming live-action “Birds of Prey” film at Warner Bros. Meanwhile. the character line up for Birds of Prey is said to be:

                              -Harley Quinn
                              -Cassandra Cain
