20th Century Fox has shaken up its release schedule with two of its “X-Men” films being subjected to major delays. While 2018 was supposed to be the year of three “X-Men” films, now two of those have been shoved to 2019. “X-Men: Dark Phoenix”, which was originally slated to open November 2nd this year, has […]

X-Men: Dark Phoenix has been hit by a big delay and will now open February 2019

Whilst New Mutants, which only recently received a 10 month delay, has been knocked back by another 6 months to 02 August 2019.

Everyone is still often talking about Fox's plans for XCU movies but frankly, this is really beginning to reek of setting things up for a reboot of the X-Men characters as this will likely result in years of delays to other in development projects if they were to proceed.

Going to have to stay out of this thread for a bit.

I assumed he was going to die in Avengers: Infinity War; him or Stark. I suspect that it'll be Stark now (along with Vision, because Thanos needs the gem in his head).

My own fault though; not blaming you Superman Falls.

Late yesterday came word that 20th Century Fox had delayed two of its upcoming “X-Men” films. The main series entry “X-Men: Dark Phoenix” had been delayed three months from this November to early February next year, while the more teen horror themed spin-off “The New Mutants” got pushed back six months and now opens August […]

Word is that Dark Phoenix was delayed due to reshoots that aren't possible in a way that the original release date could be met due to the availability of the cast.

New Mutants much longer delay is said to be due to half the film being rewritten and reshot due to how poorly received testing was at Fox. Honestly, if you're going down the horror route, as soon as the cost of the film starts to inflate just release it via streaming. It's becoming very likely to become a stinker for the studio.

Marvel Studios has yet to officially green light a “Doctor Strange” sequel, so it’s not sure if the film’s director Scott Derrickson and co-writer C. Robert Cargill will be back – though it seems likely. Speaking at a Q&A following a screening in Austin this week, Cargill re-affirmed an earlier report that if it goes […]

At the end of 2017 came word that Woody Harrelson was in talks to join the cast of the “Spider-Man” spin-off movie “Venom” at Sony Pictures, but at the time it wasn’t clear what role he was in talks for. With the film having wrapped almost two months ago, it still hasn’t been made any […]

Rewatched Winter Soldier this week - possibly my favourite 'single character' titled Marvel film.

Just finished Civil War and, while certainly very good, I felt it was lacking menace and a definite threat. It just sort of petered out.

Also, not enough Paul Rudd being funny or Spider-Man but then I can now watch Homecoming and hopefully Black Panther before Avengers 3.

A couple of brief updates on a few major blockbusters. This week Jake Gyllenhaal was out giving interviews as the new face of Cartier luxury watches. He was asked straight up by CNA Lifestyle if he’s playing the next Bruce Wayne/Batman, as it has been rumored he could replace Ben Affleck in Matt Reeves solo […]

The Russo's, currently wrapping up on their Avengers 3 and Avengers 4 duties have become one of the first to more openly address Phase 4 and the upcoming Fox merger by saying that if the merger goes through the MCU will have access to all of the extra characters to work with. Their personal opinion is it would be interesting to see the Secret Wars storyline adapted.

Netflix has renewed its Marvel drama series “Jessica Jones” for a third season. The renewal comes around one month after season two dropped on the streaming service. Viewing figures aren’t available, but the series has remained the most critically favored of all of its Marvel dramas. A return date has not yet been determined. Krysten […]

Those hoping for a bunch of Marvel movie news out of this year’s San Diego Comic Con in July, you’re in for a disappointment. Doing press rounds for “Avengers: Infinity War,” Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige says though the studio will have a presence at this year’s convention, there will not be a Hall H […]

The Russo's say Spider-Man: Homecoming was indeed wrong in it's timeline with the MCU whilst Feige confirms Marvel won't have a big presence at this years comic-con outside of a tenth anniversary panel. He'd previously suggested that would be the case as Marvel is desperate to avoid announcing anything post-Avengers 4 until after that film has released to protect spoilers.

                            Second trailer for Venom:

While “Avengers: Infinity War” will feature a return trip to Wakanda and the involvement of many characters from “Black Panther,” those involved have very specifically stated this is certainly not an unofficial “Black Panther 1.5” in the same way that “Captain America: Civil War” was an unofficial “Avengers 2.5”. The true “Black Panther” sequel is […]

Feige says the studio will press ahead with Black Panther 2 but only when Ryan Coogler is ready

Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” just had its world premiere in Los Angeles and social media reactions have started to go online. Full reviews are under embargo until Tuesday afternoon U.S. time, but so far the reactions from those in attendance are obeying requests to keep spoilers out of their reactions. They have, however, confirmed […]

Early reactions are in for Infinity War, so far without spoilers, with some saying there are some niggles with the film but broadly very positive.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that the upcoming “Spider-Man Homecoming” sequel isn’t just shooting overseas, much of the story will be set outside of New York. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker previously traveled to Germany to help Tony Stark in “Captain America: Civil War” but otherwise hasn’t left the country. That changes as he […]

Feige also confirms that most of Spider-Man 2's story will take place in various global locations rather than NYC

With the “Avengers: Infinity War” junket having taken place over the weekend in Los Angeles, quotes from various people involved in the film’s making have gone up and offer updates on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in coming years. For now, most of that future remains clouded, Marvel will continue to hold its […]

Feige reconfirms that the slate of films that will make up Phase 4 will be announced at Comic-Con 2019 and confirms The Eternals is being looked at.

He also says any potential X-Men inclusion would likely be far off and that fans have over egged the speculation about Avengers 4 title saying it's nothing earth shattering, they just wanted to keep chatter on the new third movie.
