    I'm waiting for "Boba".

Make it cool, give it to Verhoeven, I reckon he could still do it despite probably being about 80 now, make it a hard 12A or whatever it is.

    Give it some Billy Bizollocks.

Kathleen Kennedy seems to have confirmed the next Star Wars movie spin off after EpIX releases will be a Lando movie

A bit over one week out from the release of “Solo: A Star Wars Story” and the film has garnered enough reviews that it has racked up a 71% (6.4/10) score on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s the third weakest score for a “Star Wars” film to date, behind only the first two prequels, even though plenty […]

It's been clarified that Kennedy would like to make Lando but it's not currently on the slate

Call me when they make Greedo. Or The Cantina Band. Or that hammerhead guy in Mos Eisley Cantina who is only onscreen for 48 frames of the movie but of course he has a name and a comic and an action figure.

Actually, imagine a film like Whiplash, but it's about The Cantina Band.
                Or maybe The Commitments.

If you ignore the Clone Wars pilot cinema release we're about to reach a milestone of the most SW movies released in one run. Nice time to reflect back on the franchise. This one will vary a lot based on nostalgia but here's my top nine Star Wars movies which will finally be a full Top Ten one I see Solo:

01 - Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
02 - Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
03 - Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
04 - Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
05 - Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
06 - Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
07 - Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
08 - Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
09 - Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

I could do with a rewatch of Rogue and Ep8 though to cement their places.

Is it just that it’s off my own personal radar or is Solo seriously underpromoted compared with recent Star Wars films? It feels low key.

It's supposed to be tracking quite well but I think Solo marks the point where Star Wars has lost its legendary status and become 'just another franchise' for many

Yep, this is totally it for me. They're not special anymore; they used to occupy this tier above the rest.

I'm unsure how much of this is Star Wars and how much of it is the general quality of action-adventure blockbuster cinema like the MCU.

For me, Solo not being released during the festive holiday like the last few Disney Star Wars films was when this finally became apparent.

Maybe it's the Infinity War hype that has overshadowed it, but I've personally been underwhelmed by the build-up to Solo's release and don't actually find myself that bothered to go see it.

mmm, last Jedi better than a New hope, really?

mine would be: (and i dont care if i never see 5 to 9 again.)

                              This is HARD.

01 - Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
02 - Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
03 - Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens
04 - Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
05 - Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
06 - Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Then one heck of a MASSIVE dropoff...

07 - Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
08 - Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
09 - Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

I'd stack them differently if I was to rank them with their impact and nostalgia playing a bigger factor but the original trilogy films are products of their age and New Hope particularly isn't that exciting a film. Force Awakens is very much a retread but it's the one of the two tellings I'd find the easier to watch repeatedly.

There have been important Star Wars films but personally... I'm still waiting for a truly great one.
