Media for The Nun has finally started to emerge. The movie follows a young Nun attending a abbey in Romania who takes her own life. A priest arrives to investigate the incident and uncovers secrets as well as the new haunting taking place due to the Nun.

Gary Dauberman, who penned the two “Annabelle” films along with “IT,” will make his directorial debut on the next film in the series about the killer doll from “The Conjuring” cinematic universe at New Line. Details are being kept secret but the story will once again focus on the porcelain doll that is possessed by […]

Gary Daubman, script writer of the first two entries and It, will return but also direct for Annabelle 3. The film is already locked for release on 03 July 2019 but it'll be interesting to see where they pitch the film in the Conjuring timeline as the first two Annabelle movies cover everything from the dolls creation right through to the point where it's locked in the Warren's store room in Conjuring 2 so there isn't really a window another could slot into.

EDIT - I tell a lie, there's a six month gap between Annabelle and The Conjuring, there we go.

Warners have confirmed that Annabelle 3 will be set in the Warren's own home after the events of The Conjuring when they have taken possession of the doll. The demon that has taken its form begins to stalk their 10 year daughter and to take over the other objects in their safe room. This makes the third Annabelle very close to being the third Conjuring given how closely tied it is though a true The Conjuring 3 remains in development.

Following their success last year showcasing “IT” at what was dubbed ‘ScareDiego,’ New Line Cinema has now held a second such presentation this year on preview night at San Diego Comic Con. Filmmaker James Wan and “IT” and “Annabelle: Creation” scribe Gary Dauberman were on hand to confirm that a third “Annabelle” movie is in […]

Pretty much the same confirmation from Wan about Annabelle 3 but cementing the timeframe within the continuity that the films events will take place in. As such, the OP timeline has been updated.

The upcoming “The Conjuring” spin-off film “The Nun” is expected to open to an estimated $36-45 million in its wide release this Friday. The first film of the fall season, the title could very well top the $42 million opening of the original 2013 “The Conjuring” which remains the franchise’s best. Advance ticket sales are […]

The Nun is being projected to open in the US to $36-45m. Should the film meet the top end of that scale it would prove to be the most successful opening to one of these entries yet.

Following my missus love of horror movies and this franchise in particular we went to see The Nun at the weekend and it's a bit of a relief to say we're mostly five for five still. Like the previous release, this does a good job of retroactively working itself into the franchise canon with only one flashback sequence coming across a little over cheesy. The main two faults I'd lay at the films feet are that its scares are very well worn tropes even if they're delivered finely enough and also that it comes within a hairs breadth of wearing out the character of the Nun. They've already knocked around mentions of plans for an inevitable sequel, a film that will need a distinct enough approach to be worthwhile, but overall this was a solid addition - I'd probably rank it fourth out of the five.

“The Conjuring” film series producer Peter Safran has revealed that plans are underway to begin production on the third film in the main series next year ahead of a release in 2020 via Warner Bros. Pictures. Speaking with Cinema Blend this week about the just-released spin-off feature “The Nun,” Safran offered an update on the […]

The Conjuring 3 looks to be filming next year which would make it the studios 2020 release in the ongoing saga, presumably this means Crooked Man is further back.

If you thought the “Fast and Furious” franchise had a whack timeline, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Filming will begin shortly on a third film in the “Annabelle” franchise, itself a spin-off of “The Conjuring” and overall the sixth film in this unlikely but successful horror cinematic universe. In terms of the overall timeline of […]

Nothing new here but word that The Crooked Man is still in development but is being held back as they don't want to put out a poor entry to meet a date

James Wan has opted out of directing the third main film in “The Conjuring” series at New Line. While others have helmed the spin-offs, three released and two more in development, Wan helmed both the first and second main films in the series and was expected back for the third. Instead, he’s handing over control […]

We'll have to wait to see what James Wan follows up Aquaman with as he as officially opted not to direct The Conjuring 3. He will remain closely involved but directing duties are instead going to Michael Chaves, director of next years Wan-produced The Curse of La Llorona
