The House with a Clock in its Walls beat expectations to open in the US to $29m placing the $42m budgeted family film well.

The Nun continues to haunt up the money bags and the spin-off now sits at $292m worldwide. The film remains the fourth highest grossing of the five Conjuring Universe movies but it will only take another $28m to leap into the top spot.
The biggest mover this week was The Predator, the fourth entry answered questions as to where it would fall with audiences by slipping quickly into a box office collapse. The film rose to $94m worldwide with daily takings falling fast and few markets left to open making this likely a franchise killer with the mouse house taking over the reigns next year.
This week is another quiet one with Smallfoot proving the biggest release
