It's only a lightgun game but I have to say, one of the best experiences I've had was Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. That you're in a familiar scenario (theme park ride) that mirrors your seated position helps a lot and the game was perfectly playable even without Move controllers. Really good visually and the overall experience was pretty seamless.

Sounds like you need to spend any spare cash on new white towels!

We own more towels and bedding than most hotels. Or at least that’s how it feels.

Just given Rez Infinite a blast , talk about completely overwhelmed . So so beautiful I found myself feeling emotional * optional facepalm *

It's pretty mind-blowing though, isn't it? When you look at how far gaming tech has come in a relatively short space of time, you have to wonder where gaming will be at in ten years time.

                    Ok. The Persistence.

I can't remember ever playing a Rougelike FPS game before but here, it works really well. There are explanations woven into the story for why things change on each playthrough and it does a pretty good job of setting the scene.

The first few lives are hard. Really hard. I like challenging games and the progression structure has been built to encourage replayability. I'm not finished yet but by the time I am I get the feeling I will be a tank that can slaughter my way through the ship. That's all well and good but the first few hours are where the real value of the Persistence lies. It is second only to Resident Evil 7 in terms of atmosphere and scares.

Creeping around the corridors of a constantly changing environment (no learning patterns here) being chased by every more potent enemies all of whom can decimate you quickly is brilliantly tense stuff. As you progress everything gets significantly harder, exactly as it should.

There are also tons of upgrades, weapons (some of which are genuinely innovative and most of which are fun to use) and unlocks to see. Loot is structured a la destiny and the game doesn't necessarily explain its systems likely to encourage exploration.

Visuals are good, movement is excellent and sound design is spot on. There are plenty of options around VR comfort but the one you want is the Doom VFR / RE7 control system, taking off the restrictive field of vision limitations is a must for anyone who isn't a first time VR gamer.

I'll certainly see this through to the end and go for a platinum. An absolute bargain at the price and up there with the top tier of VR experiences.

Much to my shame I’ve still not tried Rez properly on PSVR despite it being the game that made we want to get the VR kit.

I was showing my good lady the VR kit the other day but she just seems to not get along with it at all. Even the deep sea diving demo thingy made her feel queasy. Any tips to counter that?
Wipeout VR in full on mode made me feel a bit queasy too but it’s just not the same with the comfort settings applied.

Turned on the PS4 today, and no video or audio signal from it to the receiver. All other HDMI channels fine, and the lights on the PS4/controller are on and connected... start troubleshooting, and it would seem that something is going on with the VR setup - no signal seems to be passing through the breakout box, whereas if I take the HDMI lead from it's output port and stick that straight into the PS4, everything's fine. Anyone had anything similar? Still have some other things to try and narrow down, but if it's died then I'm going to be pretty cheesed off.

I've not had a signal once before. Pulled all the plugs out and put them back in and all was good.

I have had that twice. The old plug and unplug worked for me.

Also, Shooty Fruity is on sale at the moment, supposed to be excellent fun.

                              This...
                              It's usually HDMI handshake issues.
Did the light come on the adapter box?
Sometimes it doesn't like you turning the headset on before the PS4.
