    Europe III: April F-EU-Ls

Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP have released their Brexit Impact Report which says they want us to stay in the single market and customs union.

In breaking news, water is wet!

Oh, you're in the water is wet camp. Typical of your sort. It's that kind of thinking that makes us all spend a fortune on waterproofs and umbrellas each year; money that could be better spent on our NHS.

Water wasn't wet until the EU forced it on us in the 70's

      Saville for PM

That's why the summer of 1976 was so infamously hot... and dry! Wet ever since.

Exclusive: Norwegian officials tell Brussels they may seek radical rethink of their terms if UK has access to single market for key sectors

Norway says the UK can't have any single market access for key sectors as if it does then Norway will also want to renegotiate its own EU deal

Whilst Boris has said that the £350m per week Leave claim during the Referendum was wrong... the figure was too low. He says that the figure was incorrectly underestimated against how much the UK actually contributes to the EU which he places at closer to £438m but concedes that the figure in either case is a gross total and could not all go to the NHS, instead suggesting half does which would be closer to £216m per week.

Yes, and then after the politicians get hold of it and put it in their pockets, we can knock the 2 off the front of that number...

Sure it is Boris sure it is. By the time all the overpaid robbing private contractors get their hands on it there will be about 4p left for the NHS pot.

Norway could throw a major wrench in the works as well, and rightly so, they will be vastly out of pocket vs the uk for basically the same deal.

That's all well and good but Norway is a market of around 5 million people versus 65 million people in the UK. Better business to keep the larger trading partner happy. Having said that I expect it's easier to do business with the Norwegians than this shower we have in power.

Amid claims of Tory disunity over the direction of Brexit, the PM "categorically" rules out the option.

Downing Street clearly states, we're leaving the customs union

"So we're not leaving the customs union?"
                      Yes we are.

Honest to god, I can see how this could lead to a road where Labour loses the momentum it gained. In the short term they can now more vocally sabotage the Tories efforts but in the longer term this grab to continue appeasing young voters will likely lose them a chunk of arguably more important older voters who require less galvanising each time. It was being discussed by a Labour member on the radio a moment ago and Labours stance seems to hang mostly on an already dismissed hypothetical situation where the UK has a customised single market agreement with the EU, the very scenario the EU absolutely ruled out quite some time ago.

In essence they've promised the impossible knowing they will never be asked to deliver it and will instead spend the next twelve months sabotaging Brexit efforts due to being too focused on undermining the Tories rather than the state of the country on exit. It shows Corbyn will bend the knee just as well as any other politician too. To be honest, I voted Labour last time and this does make me feel like we're being asked to choose between eating to s**** again. Point winning shambles.

So pretty much how Brexit happened then. Maybe this is how things are done now.

I still think it's time politicians were removed from the Brexit process and replaced by experts. Maybe they have been, but it doesn't seem that way.
