Not really hopeful given what they did to dumb down Mario for phones but at least with the Kart genre the control scheme can be more complex, should allow them to get closer to the original design without much sacrifice?
To be fair motion controls were massively popular in MARIO kart for the Wii which was all I saw people playing it with. This may appeal to the same crowd.
The motion controls aren’t likely to be the main issue. What I’m expecting is that a kart upgrade or blue shell shield will cost 100 mario coins and you can buy various bags of coins. The chances of me playing this are non-existent so the individual game won’t affect me directly but the larger effect of the model will depending on where Nintendo’s experiments go.
Yep. Watching the vid, it's clear there is no danger of this offering anything better than what we have... except revenue. It would be horrible to think that this could generate more revenue than MK9. I really hope that's not the case.
MK9?? Don’t talk such common sense nonsense, Supes!
Clearly, as so many on here have stated, Nintendo were totally right to be super-lazy instead and offer up a reheat/rehash of a five year-old last-gen Mario Kart game for their latest flagship hardware!!
So bizarre that this is in portrait mode. Are people really so lazy they can't be bothered to rotate their phones?
I realise this kind of rubbish makes money for Nintendo, but given the success of the Switch to devalue their brand like this seems really counterproductive in the long run. Why are they in the sewer with the likes of Zynga and King? They used to be better than this.
