    DF Retro: PS3 2005 E3 Reveal. What was fake/real?

I'm 100% convinced that the "banana controller" was never intended to be final. That was purely something for people to talk about; a very obvious negative thing for them to focus on to try and distract from any other misgivings.

You ever seen 48 Hours where Nick Nolte tells Eddie Murphy that it's all about "experience and bullsh*t"? Well I'm certain that Sony took that to heart when we experienced their bullsh*t with this reveal.

        Hmmm, nice post, thanks!

It's always interesting to look back on these things and see just how different the final product is.
        Stuff like Colonial Marines...

With the internet so prevalent now, it's harder for conference presentations to not get called out when they're lying.

Side note: Just type a swearword and the forum will censor it automatically, you don't need to do it yourself.

As much as there was a lot of BS in the PS3 reveal, it's nice to know in hindsight Sony took a hit for its arrogance at that time and has had to work to earn love back from gamers.

Yeah it's a good thing. The stuff they did to be more competitive is now standard, same thing is happening this gen, MS is having to work super hard to win people back and the bar is being raised considerably as a result.
