Seems like most of the games I like best have been listed. I did like Porsche Challenge and Mickey's Wild Adventure but I'm not sure if they'd hold up today. Likewise with Cool Boarders 3.

Ports are now in blue. I'm not including the likes of Tekken or Point Blank as ports because, let's face it, there isn't much difference between their arcade/home renditions - and everybody knows them as PlayStation games anyway.Last edited by dataDave; 11-03-2018, 01:08.

If we are going for the best versions i might have to modify my list as pop n' music and DDR have newer improved versions on PS2 and beyond that are probably better than the PS1 originals. There are ways to play the arcade roms outside of mame but i seriously doubt anyone will be able to get hold of them unless they have access to a certain invite only website online.
Not sure if the PS1 version of incredible crisis is better than the arcade version as on my version of mame it runs like crap but that could be because i'm using a really old version of mame where it's still not properly emulated. Might have been fixed by now but until then i still rate the PS1 version as fab.

The best PS games unless better versions are elsewhere?
Has anyone mentioned:
Ghost in the Shell
R-Types
Blitter Boy
Overboard!
Ace Combat
Kensei: Sacred Fist
Shaolin
Syndicate Wars
Wu-Tang: Taste the Pain
Incredible Crisis
I don't really dig the fact that Resi 2 & 3 are better on the Dreamcast-era consoles. There's not a lot in it, and purists prefer the lower resolution for CRT play. If there's a significant improvement then fair play.
In retrospect It'd be interesting to see how much support the Saturn had besides ports. Most of what I'd played the most of can now be found on Steam/XBLA in HD.
