Never really got in Heavy Gear, videogame, tabletop, or RPG. I like MW2mercs but it's a bit too buggy and unrefined in the way you accept contracts. I've only played the original DOS release, I did try the Win95 patch back in the day but the interface was absolutely horrendous. Maybe a lot of problems were solved in the Titanium Pack or other collections.
Also, MW2 is still the only were you play as a Clanner from start to end.

SoR just pips SoR2 because it's shorter and the enemies are tougher without bumping the difficulty up(which mostly just makes hits less powerful so involves pressing B more times). They usually walk up and hit you whereas the ones in SoR 2 circle around for a bit.

But the bottom line is this: I play SoR because it's fun to play, whereas I play SoR 2 just for the wicked music.
