Blazing Star
Pulstar
Shock Trooper
Strikers 1945+
NAM 1975
Ironclad
Sengoku 2
Aero Fighters 2
Nightmare in the Dark
Zupapa
I know that list is shmup heavy but there’s a lot of good shooters on the system. I sank a lot of coins into NAM 1975 when it was released great as a two player game. The last two are Snow Bros style and very enjoyable.

Nobody else seems to have mentioned it, but I have quite a soft spot for Ninja Commando.
It's quite tough, there's lots going on and those sprites are massive after playing something like Gang Wars.
It's a bit bonkers, really. There's one bit early on where your ninja is strolling through a theme park in the middle of the day in his vibrant red outfit to minimise stealth. You're beating up henchmen that look a bit Ku Klux Klanesque as you walk up to a roller coaster, and one of the bad guys arrives to attack you, but he's in one of the coaster's seats.
I mean, what was his thinking? Was he making use of the park being empty whilst his henchman chums wreaked havoc? Did he think it was a good idea for a sneak attack? Did he have a nice time? How many circuits on the coaster did he have to do until my ninja arrived?

Would struggle to name too many non-fighting, non-Metal Slug Neo Geo games... And even then I’m not sure what were MVS or AES or CD releases. However, I definitely would include Wind Jammers, Neo Turf Masters, Puzzle Bobble, Puzzle Bobble 2, Magical Drop II and III as among the Neo Geo games that I have enjoyed.

Metal Slug
Shock Troopers
Neo Drift Out
NInja Commando
Cyber-Lip
