PC Engine Mini - What would you put on?

With the release of Terra Onions SSDS3 I thought it would be cool to have a PC Engine Mini discussion.
What 20 games would you put on?

Never owned one. Wanted to as they looked so dope so will be watching this thread with interest.

Also lol at a PCE Mini being the size of a postage stamp!

Well my favourite games are very different from the more rounded selection they tend to put on these sort of things. But as long as it has Gate of Thunder, Lords/Winds of Thunder, Air Zonk and Ninja Spirit then we’re all good.

The PC-Engine is undoubtedly the toughest system for me to do one of these "name the best (X amount) of games" lists, there are just too many games I love on it. Will look forward to seeing what everyone else enjoys though!

I prefer PCE SFII’ to any other non-arcade version for some reason, so I’d want that on there. Parodius and all of the other shooters that everybody else will likely pick and I’ll be good.

Are we limiting to just HuCard games? I'm working under that assumption, and R-Type, Street Fighter II’, Parasol Stars, Parodius Da , Outrun, Bomberman '94 andNinja Spirit all get another vote each from me.

I'll also suggest Adventure Island (aka Wonder Boy III The Dragon's Trap, but on a PC Engine) and Detana!! Twin Bee (a fun cute 'em up).

Just looked that up, that seems to be the name of the North American Turbografx-16 version – the PC Engine version which I own is called Adventure Island.

Which of course is super confusing as Adventure Island is, as we all know, the English name for the Takahashi Meijin games which are derived from Wonder Boy.

It's a wonderful system that has some amazing titles.

On a side note, my daughters love Bomberman (a game older than their combined ages).

There isn't a better feeling in the world seeing them p****ing themselves laughing playing it
