40 years today (16th 1978) Taito would officially unveil Space Invaders to the world.

Happy Birthday old friend.

I'll never forget the day when my local bowling alley had this game, sunk many 10p's into it.

One of the most significant games in gaming history next to Pac-Man. I didn't play it until quite a few years after release, but remember the artwork on the machine really grabbing my attention. The modern Extreme versions are really great, so keep the franchise alive and well.

Remember it coming out and putting 10p's in it myself but as soon as Galaxian and others (not Pac Man) came out I never went back to it, still It's probably THE most pivotal game and deserves to be remembered.
