its crazy isn't is give the public a convenient and easy way to watch films and TV without gouging them or forcing them to jump through hoops and they lap it up and are happy to pay

Ive dabbled with some of the dodgy streaming apps out their and always found them more hassle than their worth. Id much rather reward content creators than watch some low definition shaky cam footage of a film that's constantly buffering itself because its hosted on some windows 95 server in Russia.

I'm torrenting less simply because the piece of junk media player on the PS4 plays about 1% of the files I throw at it.

One of the nicest people I have ever met or worked with did not come in today as his nephew had been killed on his motorbike this morning. Only found out about it when his patients were due to come in and had to cancel everyone he was due to see. Everyone very sympathetic, a few put out but we will deal with in the next few weeks and one utter bitch face who wasn't cancelled but wanted to see him today with a really unhelpful and uncaring attitude.

His poor mother has been poorly for months stuck abroad and only back in the UK last month and on her last weeks of life. Most who we had to call thought his mum had gone but sadly no another family member. He was the guy that got me the brilliantly perfect Secret Santa gift after I rarely work with him. Such a horrible thing to happen to such a nice man. Really cut everyone up today, he's back at work tomorrow and I don't know when I'll get to see him again as I wont be there.

Bacon totally wrong in the new McDonald's bacon double cheeseburger. They're using the 'luxury' bacon from the Signature burgers, it's too pink and chewy, hamlike, this needs a frazzled type of bacon and maybe a charred-ish burger.

In a nutshell? It's the wrong bacon.

Yeah, I remember when they changed the bacon in the breakfast McMuffin. It might've been better "quality" but I don't go to McD's for quality food.

McDs bacon and egg mcmuffin was best when they used that circular Canadian bacon.

Quick tip if you ever get a mcmuffin. Customise it by having it without butter and it's so much better.

An irk that should be a smile I suppose. Social media for the shop went a bit mental this last while, the amount of messages we're getting is insane, I haven't even had time to post **** on the forum! I dread to think what it's going to be like when we actually open the doors to customers!

Have you already made the "no hipsters" sign for the front door?

Our area isn't really hipster infested, but I have my hipster stare down fully loaded in case any pass through.

Top news that, man, Colin. You’re opening a shop featuring a premium product at the apex of its popularity. Camra alone has about 180,000 members which is the biggest consumer group in the country. See if you can advertise on local camra Facebook pages.

Aye, it's certainly getting more interest than I expected at this point, I thought we'd only gradually start getting the word out there once we'd opened. Facebook stats came in this morning though and it was numbers I found surprising to say the least -

The colleague who's nephew was killed this week? His Mother passed away on Wednesday.

Yesterday we are still dealing with the backlog of patients we can't book in again yet unless emergencies as we don't know what time he wants/ needs off.

Dentist guy (not the one who's lost relatives I might add) who can be a bit of an arse complains to me that "I" (as in me but reception in general) had made loads of mistakes recently and needed to stop problems such as 'these' sorted. Firstly I am rarely in reception so I was not wholly responsible, secondly he spoke down to me like a child IN FRONT OF A PATIENT and when I am older/ more experienced than him working in the dental role. Thirdly there was no mistake or problem.

The 'problem' he was referring to was his first patient after lunch was booked in for 25 instead of 10-15 (he said 5 but he takes 5 minutes just to seat a patient). Too much typing to explain but this was not a problem, we knew to shorten and add another patient in if needed as the patient's previous appointment had been cancelled by said dentist (and +20 days worth) so just used what was already in to reschedule and would book another in a week.

He spend those '5 minutes' he needed for that appointment complaining so kept the patient waiting so started late, ran over the original appointment by over 10 minutes so in total took 35 mins of appointment time to finish, and didn't even send the lab work down to be collected so now it wont be sent off till Monday, delaying the patient AGAIN!.

Did I tell him how royally f-up he did? No, because I act as a professional. I did get an immense sense of satisfaction from his failings but Jesus he was such an arse to me in front of a waiting patient. Him being just rude was the worst, does he not know to never mess with the receptionists!?!? He also had no regard of how extra busy we have been having to care for the grieving dentist's patients so any shred of me trying extra hard to be nice to him has faded away.

                            Uh.

                            No.

                            (deep breath)

Does anyone like Brannigans Roast Beef & Mustard crisps?

You know, them consistently reliable, super-thick slices of potato pornography, with the caustically mustard-y coating that tastes like heaven's pissflaps?

Well, they just ****ed em. They're TOTALLY different. They're just generic crisps now, plus there is no incendiary mustard blast.

Gonna stop buying these if this is what they have become.

I am actually very sad about this!!! No way is this happening.

We were talking about the best crisps at work and I remembered Brannigan's Roast Beef and Mustard crisps.
I couldn't find a bag anywhere, so I gave up and ordered a whole box from Amazon!

It was really nice having a bag every now and then.

Deffo not as mustardy as they used to be though, agreed.

Packaging with the corner that says open here (like on bacon, mince etc) and it rarely ever opens and tears off and end up getting a knife to cut it open
