Didn’t both systems end up selling roughly exactly the same amount? Not sure either company put the other “in their place”. 360 had a strong start, PS3 a strong finish.
Either way, PS3 for me. I have zero interest in online gaming so the 360’s strength in that area is, for me, meaningless. PS3 is the only system I’ve owned for a ridiculous amount of years, and still have one set up in the house now. There were a good few exclusives I loved on 360 (in the periods my systems didn’t die ) but the PS3 had the games that I liked most and still play now. RR7, Uncharted 1/2/3, Resistance series (I like them!) and the last of us clearly being my favourites. I’d probably go as far to say that I regard it as the best system since the Dreamcast, again that’s for me personally.
I think they were both magnificent systems though and anyone would’ve been happy with either. This gen isn’t as exciting as the XBO and switch are of zero interest.
