If we stop for a second and compare what's going on with Trump at the moment. With Donald Trump actual hard evidence gathered through FBI investigation and the words spoken in court are beginning to build into a case against him. This is how real cases are built and defended. None of this has happened with Jackson dispite efforts by the FBI and Santa Barbara PD.

I'm getting really intrigued into watching the documentary after a day of news reports and Era melting in upon itself because their usual 'assume guilt' mindset didn't compute with the facts surrounding MJ's case. It's a pain the US got it first as we're hearing bits but behind the viewing of it, so far it's sounds like a lot of people taking it as gospel because it's an emotional description of events rather than it having any self-accountability or real fact checking involved.

Well I posted my views on all this in the puzzled thread where it came up but the end point was this: this just appeals to the worst in people. Unless there is anything concrete, in which case it should be through authorities and not on telly, it’s time to leave it.

Fact is about MJ, he made two proper stone-cold classic albums, 'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller'.

And then he did nowt else classic. I'd say 'Bad' was half-decent (but only half).

Apart from that, nowt else of talent. No more real talent emerged.

            Thriller came out in 1982.

(I'm just fizzing the fizzy-throbby ultrafun machine, btw)

              Was MJ a paedo?

We will never know unless we taste a cake made of his paedophilia.

              (and he died innit, cripes)

(my fave song of his, btw, no pun intended, this song always makes me feel alive, even in the midst of suicidal ideation it makes me wanna boogie oogie love-a-doodle)

There was once a story in The Sport or summat that claimed Michael and Bubbles had relations in a hot tub, I think the word 'pleasured' was used in the article. I cannot confirm the truth of the article but I also remember the item mentioning the chimp looked 'happy'.

Anyway, it was some grasser skivvy at Neverland trying to sell MJ down the river for a quick story, obviously fake.

But what if it was true? A true detective considers all angles...

The media during the 90's and up till the outcome of the trial were brutal with Jackson and pedalled more lies and falsehoods than they probably have about any other celebrity ever. If he was guilty of what he's accused for they'd have to shoulder a significant amount of the blame for making a sex offender hard to convict.

Even this morning I've seen a few news stories that take you back to the 90's style Jackson stories, all awful accusation and nothing to back them up. I don't know, I'm open to the idea of him being guilty but I find the aggressive unwillingness to accept him not being guilty really worrying and distasteful as well, reflective of the whole 'always believe the accusers' viewpoint that is deeply dark and it's that kind of approach that in days of old led to the deaths of more than a few innocent parties, very dangerous line of thinking.

Well this is the point I was making in the other thread. A whole load of top level celebs didn't get a mention back in the day and turned out to be harassers, abusers and even total pedos. Jackson was weird (he was) and so was hounded. Nothing concrete ever came of it. This shouldn't have been a media circus and it shouldn't be now either. Media is not the place for accusations this serious. It never was and that hasn't changed.

Yeah, wasn't this the same with the Matthew Kelly thing? He and his family were put through hell, and at the end of it all, he was completely innocent. If I recall correctly, he decided to step away from his career, because he was disgusted with the way the world had turned on him at the drop of a hat.

I still remember how the tabloids published front-page snaps of him, where they'd obviously went through a video and found a frame where, when presented as a photo, he looks deranged. Like when you pause a YouTube video of a person at an inopportune moment.

That's it, you might have a track of cases where 9/10 the accused are guilty but you have to have an objective stance because otherwise that 1/10 instance will see innocent miscarriage of justice. Otherwise you're taking a stance that destroying those lives is worth catching the 9/10 in which case you're part of the problem not the solution.

Pre-showing the only established facts we have is that that the documentary is openly and intentionally biased in its portrayal of events and that both the individuals involved have a proven track record of attempting to profit via Jacksons estate and legacy as well as lying on matters relating to him which is... a hell of a starting position to put blind faith into. I read some reviews via RT and MC and there's countless falsities in there as well, statements of Jackson having child porn, abuse videotapes etc none of which is true and shows how there seems to be little to no room for facts. We're living in a post-Savill, me too era and it really shouldn't be that hard to evidence claims against Jackson.

I never paid any attention to all the stories and lawsuits to be honest.

He always came across as being a very damaged person with no genuine people to ever turn to or rely on, that ended up doing some very inappropriate things for his age.

Well never know the truth though.
