The obvious ones are ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK and AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON...*but*...

...I'm saying MANIAC. Moody, gory, Joe Spinell on top form, vintage DOTD-era Tom Savini fx. Very bleak, verrrrry scuzzy early 80s atmos. Caroline Munro from gameshow 3-2-1 as well.

ZOMBI 2 *AKA* ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS waaaay up there, also!!! (as a 'cult fave' sorta thang).

(Obviously, RAIDERS is one of THE most perfect movies of all time, it's like GOODFELLAS, hence I can't vote for it.)

Got to recommend Thief to any fans of Michael Mann. Looks amazing, great performance from James Caan and the soundtrack is by Tangerine Dream

I've never even heard of it, so need to investigate.

Enjoying some suggestions these threads call up. Also need to revisit some with older eyes.

I was discussing Thief with the missus the other day. I had one of those moments where you recollect a film, but can't quite remember which one.
