Amazing he got 50% when all he said was Brexit 10,000 times. Turn that into a drinking game and you wouldn't make it the full hour.

Twitter has spoken out against the Conservatives for last nights move whereby they renamed their twitter account to FactCheckUK in order to purposely mislead the public. Dominic Raab has defended the move adding 'no-one gives a toss about the social media cut and thrust' summing up the Tories mindset beautifully there. Twitter have stated that in future, if another attempt to repeat the trick was made, they would take 'decisive corrective' measures.

I don't know if it's intended to stop up talking about what was said in the debate, but it's just another way for the Conservatives to normalise disinformation.

That act, of changing the channel's name in that manner at that time, is absolutely despicable.

No-one can wilfully deceive the public like that and wake up the next morning, look themselves in the mirror and genuinely believe they are "the good guy", and if they do believe that, there is something wrong with them and I am concerned for their mental health.

Even a child understands that it is wrong to lie to people to convince them of your point of view. It is wrong to decieve people in that way. Even if it's for the "right reasons"; a good person, a just person, does not do these things.

It's where the indirectness of politicians and the media is a pain as well. It shouldn't be that hard for the public to see Johnson be bombarded with specific direct questions on his answers and comments - basically 'why did you lie about X' calling him out on it. Shrugging it off is weak and the laugh is it should be helping Corbyn because it proves his Trump parallel comments true.

The bit on the news about it was a bit of a joke, though - on ITV, the presenter did a good job of asking that very question, and then every time the Tory bloke swerved off the topic, she pulled him back to it and simply repeated the question. Made the ****er twist in the wind.

They honestly tried to say that because their actual handle didn't change from "CCHQ" or whatever it was, that it was obvious they were a Tory soapbox. I'm sure if they were forced to change their name to "LIARS" for 4 hours, they would be totally fine with it for the same reasons.

Tories said to have been sent into a bit of a panic as Johnson has accidentally revealed their big manifesto pledge which is to raise the NI threshold to £12k

                Comment

The Tories have confirmed the NI pledge is true but have already scaled it back by £3,000 making voters just £2 per week better off.

Also, Johnson has pretended to no nothing about the FactCheckUK lies making out he doesn't have any knowledge or involvement in what his own press team does.

Hmmm... You'll see a lot of ATMs just disappear. How much of a problem is this? The only ATM I've used in the last decade which charged was on the floor at MCM Comicon, and I'm willing to bet those were only there because the owner made money from them.

That being said, the good thing is this might push more business to accept cards and contactless for any amount, no more of the "got to be over £5 mate" crap that corner shops still pull. Also barbers; literally the only time I ever use cash anymore is when I go to the barber, as none of them take cards.
