    Server move. Done

The forum will be off for a couple of hours today. I'll post again when I have a better idea of when.

Can someone (not a mod), please reply to this?

Search probably won't do anything useful till I reindex later on.

Expected. Database is hosted separately from the files, so it should be lightning fast.

I have to take the site down again in a few minutes to rebuild the search index which is intensive, so best done without people posting.

Ok, I'm using the default search instead of sphinx. Might go back to sphinx at some point in the future, but for now see how it goes. Index is rebuilt.

And if someone could reply to this again please, that would be grand. Cheers.

                          Notes:
I've been practising updating vbulletin4 to a slightly newer version that works with php7 which should be even faster and more secure (all went well, but need to test again on the new server environment)
I've also tested upgrading to vbulletin5 to see what it looks like and on mobile, it's much improved, but will have to check that a lot more and am not sure I'm going to do it yet.
