Ever the coward, Johnson has missed the deadline for explaining his links to Jennifer Arcuri to the London Assembly

In what would be a fun move, the EU will discuss next week how long to consider for another A50 extension. There's a chance that whatever Boris requests (supposedly 31 January) the EU will respond with sometime June 2020 which the Benn Act required Johnson to agree to.

Latest polls from Opinium (4th Oct) and ComRes (6th Oct) show a surge in Tory support.

This is a bit like politics in the US where it's not just the insanity of how things are now but also the long term damage as the general public gives its most blatant and glaring example of how phenomenally dumb they are and how endorsing of corruption and bad practice from politicians they're happy to be. The scale of political malpractice and criminal acts will sore after all this.

And considering how vocal and opinionated the media and opposition are they really need to get their act together on outright constantly stating that Brexit deadlines does not mean and end to Brexit and on calling out Johnson and the Tories for their blatantly transparent tactics and lies. The amount of mis-reporting yesterday over the EU talks was disgusting, everyone knew No.10 was lying yet the news continued to repeat back what it had said as though it was verbatim.

          A largely silent majority. Depressing.

"I don't get why anyone wants a deal. Any deal we get from the EU is going to be worse than what we have already"

            - Brexit means Brexit plonker that I almost tried discussing things with but then just gave up.

Same chap who was 3 years ago repeating "They need us more than we need them. It will be the easiest deal in history".

Either everyone is actually stupid, or everyone is trying to save face by refusing to admit anything bad might happen

Think of how stupid the average person is. 50% of them are more stupid than that.

Anyone that's ever worked in a shop or customer facing roles will know that the general population are ****ing idiots.

Those petitions.... How about "don't allow any more referendums ever because the general population isn't qualified to make decisions that affect the nation"

The whole idea of a plebiscitary democracy is abhorrent. It requires keeping the plebs stupid, bigoted and systematically misinformed. It allows politicians to shirk responsibility for the jobs/decisions they are voted into taking care of while claiming to enact the wishes of a viciously self-interested public.

Pretty sure politicians and sections of the media are already doing this.

Andrea Leadsom gets a drumming for saying it would be reasonable for Johnson to illegally submit two A50 letters with one begging the EU not to extend it.

The economy has shrunk by 0.1% as it continues to skirt recession
