Roger Stone found guilty on all counts: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...se-latest-news

Lot of witches found in this witch hunt I think Stone might regret having a Dick tattooed on his back now he's heading to prison.

Trump tweets personal attacks in the Ukranian Ambassador even as she testifies in his impeachment inquiry about the fact he had been making personal attacks on her.

The part being ignored here, too (in favour of reporting on him committing an actual crime - witness intimidation - so that's fair enough) is that I'm pretty sure the Whitehouse said that that Trump wasn't going to be attending the impeachment hearings because it would take up too much time and get in the way of his running the country... Which, if Trump's narrative was true and the process was being undertaken purely to undermine his administration, wouldn't be too unreasonable.

However, this whole thing proves that Trump is watching the proceedings on TV. So how is he too busy to attend? Isn't it elsewhere in Washington? DOWN THE ROAD FROM WHERE HE LIVES?!

I thnk he wants to go, thinking he'll be able to BS his way through the hearing, but everyone else know what will happen and keep them buys with...I don't know, probably they are financing Fox News to tell (even more) good things about him.

The first of todays three public hearings is over from Ambassador Sondland and it was devastating to Trump's defence.

-Sondland confirmed he wasn't testifying in full due to the State Department
-He directly stated that Trump Quid Pro Quo'd the Ukranian President over Biden
-He directly placed Guilliani at the centre of coordinating the illegal efforts
-He stated that Trump wasn't interested in the investigation he was asking for, he just wanted one publicly announced for his own personal campaign benefit
-He indicated that all action carried out by relevant named people was done so under the President's orders
-He stated that all involved were directly implicated due to being knowingly complicit but that the whole concept was masterminded by Trump himself using Guilliani to carry it out.

The President's Press Secretary has just issued a statement titled 'Ambassador Sondland Completely Exonerates President Trump of Any Wrongdoing'

Haven't caught up with the news yet so I don't know if it's a joke, but wouldn't be surprised if true.
The real question is whether Republicans are now willing to admit Trump is guilty or they will just support him no matter what.

The laugh is that it's completely true, he's blatantly trying to copy what he did with the Mueller Report and just lie his way through things claiming the opposite of what official proceedings state. Sondland's testimony was so damaging to Trump's case that Schiff referred to it as a moment that will effectively live in American political history, he basically gave them enough that the House voting to impeach Trump is effectively a done deal now.

The biggest naysayer during proceedings is Nunes who is the head representative for the Republicans on the House Committee. He doesn't ask much either, wasting all his allotted time banging on about viewing figures and that no=one will tell him the identity of the whistleblower. He's an ardent Trump defender but the Dems have now called another person to testify shortly who has ties with Nunes and apparently there's rumbles that Nunes himself is connected to the Ukraine dealings so there's some small chance growing that one of the bigger factors in whether Trump can slide through the Senate on Impeachment to being cleared is that by the time this is done some of the House and the Senate themselves may be taken down by this process too.

I saw I video of Nunes sink in to his chair and look like he'd seen a ghost.

I think they thought the public hearings were going to be a spirited fight to show up the Dems but instead they've turned out to be an execution. Viewing figures are rising as well which means all those fence sitting voters are witnessing a mess unfold for Trump.

Everyone's ready for the Senate to clear him but at the current rate he'll be cleared as innocent by them in the same way OJ was cleared as innocent - and in the run up to the elections too.

And perfectly timed... today's final day of hearings has tied Nunes himself. Damning

                        And Schiff's closing speech:

                        Comment

Opening and closing statements are a joke. Schiff isn't under oath to tell the truth so can pretty much say whatever he wants the headlines to be. Trump will never be impeached, so this is a huge waste of taxpayer money and time.

Unless it does enough damage to avoid a second term, something needs to be break into the fence sitters who stupidly gave him the edge last time.

Dems will mess up that chance themselves by weering far too much to the left.

Trump won't be impeached and he will serve a second term.
